Wild Hare Marathon

The Wild Hare 2009 is in the books. The weather was great (if not a bit hot in the late morning), turnout was good, and we had ourselves a pretty nice little event -- even if it was only run on four weeks notice!

Some sixty people signed up to participate in the marathon and new 25K fun run, most of whom actually showed up despite not having a financial commitment already invested. It can be awfully easy to just sleep in on a Sunday morning when the marathon you signed up for is free, so our hats are off to all who came. To those who couldn't be here, we look forward to seeing you either in October for the Ridge to Bridge Marathon or some time in August next year, when we get the wild hare again.

Complete results are being compiled and will be posted soon. We may even add a picture or two besides the one below. That was our only spectator, if you don't count the guy walking his dog while riding his lawn mower.
